This challenge was sent to me earlier this week from DailyGood.org (btw I recommend this site, the daily quote, challenge and stories are very inspirational and bring to the forefront of my day what really is important) and this spoke to me. I knew I wanted to make this my weekly challenge!

Negativity is all around us, and I find that negativity loves company. It can’t be alone...it wants to share and get bigger! The definition of negative is (I chose one out of the five listed on Dictionary.com) the absence of distinguishing or marked qualities or features; lacking positive attributes (opposed to positive ). When a negative thought runs through your head, take a step back and realize that it is just a thought,  a feeling! Feelings are not real, they are not facts. You can change your feelings about one thing or the other. Such as, when you swear to not do something and you do it! Change your thinking!!! 

Live in the moment and let the negativity go away. You are in charge of your thoughts and if something negative comes across your path, take the time to really think about it. Is this thought real? Does this thought have any bearing on my life? Can I look at this situation or statement in a different light? These are all the questions you need to ask yourself. 

Life is too short and not only does negativity make you feel bad, it affects your looks. The worry lines and frowning...not to mention your posture! I really see nothing positive about negative unless you’re using it for math or science. When I run across a negative person, I want to run for the hills! You only have today!!! Practice smiling, it helps!!!
