Phineas Taylor Barnum, the “master of humbug” and a
magnificent showman of the mid-1800’s, spent his life finding incredible persona
and acts to share with his ever growing audiences. He introduced America to Jumbo the Elephant,
Jenny Lind the “Swedish Nightingale”, the famous “little man” General Tom Thumb
and many more.
Mark Bramble took the remarkable story of P.T. Barnum’s
roller coaster life of success and failure and put them to music by Cy Coleman
(lyrics by Michael Stewart) and then liberally mixed in The Circus in this
one-of-a kind production, unlike any musical you may have ever seen.
