Classical Concert Benefit at Immaculata

Several young musicians will be giving a classical concert at Immaculata University on Thursday, July 25, at 7 p.m. to assist Mulango Children's Home, an orphanage in Kenya.

In partnership with local charity 58ten, the concert is free to the public and donations will directly benefit the orphanage, which is home to 150 children.

Performers include classical violinist Alyssa Blackstone of Downingtown, a student at Cleveland Institute of Music and pianist Justen Blackstone of Downingtown, a graduate student at Westminster Choir College.

These musicians and others will be performing the works of Prokofiev, de Falla and Rimsky-Korsakov, and vocal performances will include Mozart and Puccini.

Monies raised Thursday will be sent with local 58ten volunteers who will return to Kenya and Mulango Children's Home in mid-September. For more information, visit their website at www.58ten.com.
