Tabata refers to an exercise format that uses intervals of 20 seconds of very hard work and 10 seconds of rest for 8 cycles (4 minutes). Tabata Bootcamp utilizes several of these Tabata intervals as well as 30+ minutes of 40, 30 and 20 second intervals corresponding to Hard, Harder and Hardest levels of work. This protocol allows us to take advantage of the benefits of high intensity exercise served up in "bite-sized" pieces.
Tabata Bootcamp disrupts your body's efficiency and forces it out of it's metabolic comfort zone resulting in increased metabolic activity for many hours after the workout is complete. Translation--you continue to burn calories at a higher rate for up to 24 hours after you complete the workout!
