Many kids attend music
camps during the summer to hone their music skills and have a little fun.
The kids attending the Malvern School of Music Senior High Rock Ensemble
during the week of August 5th will be taking a step further. They
will hold a community concert to benefit the People’s Pantry at Church Road
on Friday, August 9th- starting at 6:30pm at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 400 Lancaster Avenue,
Frazer, Pa.
The concert is free and will feature the Malvern School of Music’s Senior High Jazz Rock Ensemble performing selections from Motown, followed by a concert by the band Forward Motion.
Donations will be accepted with ½ of the proceeds donated to “The People’s Pantry” that provides food and clothing to dozens of local families who are in need throughout our community. The remainder of the proceeds will be donated to the Eric Brown Scholarship fund that provides financial assistance for children who wish to pursue music study.
The Senior High Ensemble will be the opening act for Forward Motion who are making a stop in Frazer during their summer tour that includes prestigious venues such as Infinity Hall in Norfolk, CT, The World Café Live in Philly and Wilmington, the Much Chunk Opera House in Jim Thorpe, PA.and the Sellersville Theater in Pa.
