Looking for a Food Drive in Malvern?

One area business is a good place to start.

The following release comes from Malvern Federal Savings Bank:

Malvern Federal Savings Bank is collecting non-perishable food items through December 16, 2013, in support of the Chester County Food Bank. The public is encouraged to drop off their food donations at any of the bank’s eight Financial Centers.

Based in Exton, the Chester County Food Bank is a non-profit organization that collects, grows, processes, stores, and distributes more than 1.8 million pounds of food per year to those who serve the hungry of Chester County, Pennsylvania.  It is the hub for 91 hunger relief agencies in the county, including 30 food cupboards and 61 meal sites. Its mission is to feed the 40,000-plus local households that don’t have enough food.

More than a food drive, the Chester County Food Bank also works with volunteers to build and maintain raised bed gardens to grow fresh produce that is distributed through the local food cupboards.
