The fire company is looking out for you, even on holidays.
The East Whiteland Fire Company has released a series of tips regarding fire safety around Halloween on its website.
Their list, which aims to prevent fires caused by costumes and decorations connected with the season, include:
- Stay away from long, billowing fabric for costumes
- Use long matches or lighters when dealing with jack-o-lanterns
- Provide children with flashlights or glow sticks
- Keep all flammable decorations away from light sources or open fire
