Why travel to New Orleans when we have Creole food right around the corner? Daddy Mims is right on the main street of Phoenixville and it is hard to miss with its bright colors. We had been dying to come here for the entire summer and we finally got a $25 coupon thing from Shannon’s dads lovely girlfriend so it was the perfect time to go. We arrived thinking wow, we have $25 we won’t have to spend any money. We were wrong. It was a little on the pricey side but it was well worth it. For an appetizer we got the deconstructed sushi. It was all the parts of sushi piled together; rice, tuna, whitefish, avocado, cucumbers, and carrots. It was out of this world. It was some of the freshest rice and really freshest everything that had ever entered our mouths. Yum! Then we decided to split an entree. We ordered the Buttery Roasted Sea Bass with coconut shrimp, ginger basil rice, and Thai mango butter sauce. Amazing! It melted in your mouth and all of the flavors went together like they were destined to be together it was great. The food was awesome but our experience had two negatives. One, the food was expensive. For teenagers like us it was a little out of our price range. Two, our waitress. Rude. She was one of those people who treated us badly because we were teenagers. We were perfectly respectable but she acted as though we had just colored with crayon all over the wall. Not a positive at all.
