Elizabeth "Sibi" Blackburn Corle, Malvern native, 87

Sibi was born on December 19, 1924 in Malvern, PA to the late Raymond and Gertrude Lewis Cox. She was a graduate of the George School and Drexel University and was the manager of Frazer Bowling Lanes for 46 years, retiring in 2010. [Mauger Givnish]

Art Gable, Greenhouse Owner, 74

 Mr. Gable was the owner of Gable’s Greenhouses, a long-standing local flower shop started in 1942 by his parents, Arthur and Mary Gable. He also ran a side business called Art’s Bikes. He was a well-known local character who loved to feed the birds at Malvern Prep. [Mauger Givnish]

Beth Ann Sharp, Paoli native, 61

One of her other passions was physical fitness. She loved competitive swimming and in recent years participated in mini-triathlons. She last participated in the North Fork Triathlon in Southhold, New York even as her treatments were beginning. [Mauger Givnish]

Frank A. Young Jr., formerly of Charlestown, 93

After WWII he went to work for the Sun Oil Company where he worked in Pipeline operations for 32 years until retirement. [Mauger Givnish]

Irene T. Brennan, of Malvern, 86

Wife of the late Frederic A. Brennan, beloved mother of Renee A., Fred, and Richard, also survived by 5 grandchildren. [Mauger Givnish]
