What's Up With That?

Everyday Americans, as I am sure others, find it hard to leave the comfort and security of their homes these day. Especially with all of the horrible events being reported on by the media.

So, what's one to do?

In addition, it seems "minority rules". Where in the past, the majority had the final say so.

Is it because the those with the angriest comments make it into he "mainstream" press and those with more sense, but cooler heads, are not "sexy" enough for print?

Moreover, why does "mainstream" press seem to bate controversy? Does it help with their ratings or is it just that those wanting to hide behind anonymous identities feel more power stoking the flames.

Sure, we all want to feel Free. But, at what price?

And, just because the "media" prints it, does that make it happen? Are we free when we let the media control our lives? Are we free only to gripe to our neighbors and not be involved? Are we free, because we put some else in charge of "handle the important things"?

Let me know... I am curious why so many things come to being that nobody, at least that I interact with, ever took part in -- let alone approve of.
