Accident Victim Thanks East Whiteland Firefighters

Sara Galbraith spent her birthday thanking the first-responders who helped save her life.

On Saturday, March 24, and EMTs had a chance to reconnect with someone whose life they'd helped save less than one year ago. Sara Galbraith was in a vehicle accident on Phoenixville Pike in July 2011 that caused brain injuries, a broken humerus and five fractured ribs.

Along with family and friends, she visited the East Whiteland Fire Company headquarters on her birthday:

There, for the first time, she was able to meet with the first responders from her horrific accident. Sara presented a pink rose to EMTs Loren Nafzinger and John Porter, which was the first unit that arrived on scene. The pink rose symbolizes Sara's appreciation for the two men who quickly extricated her from the vehicle, which contributed to saving her life. Sara was also able to say thank you to other personnel on scene which included Captain Bill Humphreys, 2nd Lieutenant Justin Clough, and Firefighters Dan Sheridan and John Demarco.

This isn't the first time Galbraith has reached out to thank the people who helped her after her accident. In January, she was featured in a video, "," in which she visited the hospital staff who worked treated her injuries.
