Anton Fomin faces more than 40 charges, including attempted aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of a child.

A music teacher accused of sexually abusing a number of his young students on Wednesday waived his rights to a preliminary hearing.

Anton Fomin, 44, faces charges of attempted aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of a child. On Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Thomas Tartaglio, he waived his right to a preliminary hearing, The Daily Local News said.

Total Fomin faces more than 40 charges, the Daily Local News said.

Fomin, of the 2000 block of Kimberton Road in East Pikeland Township, worked at the Malvern School of Music for four years, authorities said. He and his wife also ran a private music school, CBS said. Fomin originally is from Russia.

Fomin is accused of exposing himself to students, inappropriately touching students and showing students nude photos of children and adults, the Chester County District Attorney's Office said.

Fomin was fired from the Malvern School of Music immediately after the initial allegations were made, owner David Stolzfus told Main Line Media News last week.

Following Wednesday's hearing, Fomin was returned to Chester County Prison, the Daily Local News said. A formal arraignment is set for July 3.

There may be additional victims, the Chester County District Attorney's Office said. Anyone with information relevant to the case is asked to contact Chester County Detective James Ciliberto at 610-344-6866.
