GVSD: Bomb Threat at Great Valley High School

The district administration notified parents via email Friday.

Update Jan. 12 8:30a.m.—East Whiteland Police say that news releases concerning these types of incidents are handled by the school district, per an agreement made years ago.

Parents and staff at Great Valley High School were notified Friday that the district became aware of a bomb threat against the school Friday morning.

"We take every threat seriously and immediately began the implementation of our Safety Plan," Superintendent Alan Lonoconus wrote in a letter to parents and guardians. "The issue was turned over to law enforcement officers who are working collaboratively with us around this situation."
