Boy, 16, Still Missing from West Whiteland Home

Brandon Eckert has been missing since Tuesday.

Police are still searching for Brandon Eckert, 16, who went missing from a group home in West Whiteland on Tuesday, May 8.

The group home is on the 700 block of King Road in West Whiteland, about a mile west of the East Whiteland border. Eckert is described as white, 5'5", 202 pounds, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Eckert, who lives at a group home for those who suffer from emotional and developmental disorders, has been diagnosed as mentally impaired and has other mental health disorders, according to police. Police warned that he has not taken his medication since leaving the home and as a result may appear confused or agitated.
Search teams have canvassed a wooded area around the Ship Road Park since Tuesday. Police also received unconfirmed reports that placed Eckert near the Exton Elementary School and other points near the Exton center.
