Chesco Man Arrested For Alleged Rape of Co-Worker

The following information comes from the West Chester School District.

Police have arrested a janitor at a Chester County middle school who is alleged to have raped a district employee, according to a story from Philly.com.

Westtown-East Goshen Police arrested Steve Wesley, a night custodian at G.A.Stetson Middle School in the West Chester Area School Distract, who allegedly sexually assaulted a female employee while working on Thursday, Dec 12.

According to a release from the school district, no students were in the building at the time of the alleged attack.

"[Wesley] has been employed by the school district since 1995 and has always worked the night shift as a custodian. At the time he was hired in 1995, the school district had completed a criminal background check on him, as is the case for every employee. The district had no reports of misconduct while he was employed by the district."

The release states that Wesley has been suspended from his position pending the outcome of the court case.
