Devereux Employee Found Guilty of Sexual Assault

Fofee Sayon worked as an aide at the Devereux Beneto Center on Sugartown Road.

An Upper Darby man of a 16-year-old girl was found guilty in common pleas court last week.

Fofee Sayon, 26, was employed at the on Sugartown Road in Willistown when the criminal incidents took place. He was found guilty on two counts each of institutional sexual assault, corruption of minors and unlawful/sexual contact with a minor, and one count of endangering the welfare of children.

According to the Delaware County Daily Times, Sayon, who worked as the victim's one-on-one residential aide, turned down a plea deal to take his chances at trial:

Sayon had taken the stand in the trial to deny that he had any improper contact with the girl whatsoever, and that she had made up the allegations against him because he rebuffed her advances.

Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 23.
