Fatal Crash Victim ID'ed as 23-Year-Old Malvern Woman

The investigation continues into a single-vehicle crash that left one person dead Friday morning.

Update: 11:40am—Police have identified the victim in the fatal crash as Margaret Orr, 23, of Malvern.

According to a police statement, Orr was traveling northbound on South Valley Road when her 2001 Ford Escort coupe struck a utility pole along the east side of the roadway. The vehicle continued to travel off the road and hit a tree, where it came to a stop.

Police are still investigating the events surrounding the accident.

Willistown Police are investigating a one-vehicle accident that left one person dead early Friday morning.

According to police, a vehicle traveling northbound on the 2300 block of South Valley Road around 4:35 a.m. Friday veered off the road and into a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical personnel. There were no other passengers in the vehicle.

As of 8:55 a.m., South Valley Road was closed as police conducted an investigation. 

Police have not released the victim's name, pending notification of his or her family.

Willistown Police were assisted at the scene by Easttown Township Police Department, Paoli Fire Company, Malvern Fire Company Paramedics and Chester County Coroner’s Office, according to a police department statement.
