East Whiteland Police Blotter: Seafood Thief Caught During Getaway

Disorderly Conduct... On May 1, Joseph Baranzano-Era, 20, of Malvern was arrested for Disorderly Conduct after he was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana while sitting in his vehicle.

Driving While Under the Influence... On May 7 at noon, Colleen Dudek, 47, of Malvern, was arrested for DWUI after being observed driving erratically on Route 401.

Leaving the Scene of an Accident... On May 15, Erica Gibson, 30, was arrested for DWUI and leaving the scene of an accident after crashing her vehicle on Lapp Road at approximately 1:30 a.m.

Hit-and-Run... Police investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred on May 16 located Patricio Reyes, 27, of Coatesville on May 17, after he was observed in the area of the accident in another vehicle. He was cited for the accident, which occurred on North Warren Avenue at Spring Road.

Theft from Unlocked Vehicle... On May 17, a resident of Kelmar Avenue reported the theft of an iPod from an unlocked vehicle overnight. Another resident reported a laptop computer was taken from his vehicle in the Kelmar Avenue area.

Driving While Under the Influence... At 1 a.m. on May 17, Robert Skalski, 49, of Exton, was arrested for DWUI in the area of Matthews Road at Wegmans Market after being observed driving erratically.

Driving While Under the Influence... On May 21 at 3 a.m., Luke Foley, 18, of Malvern, was arrested for DWUI after driving too slowly in the 400 block of Lancaster Avenue.

Retail Theft... On May 24, at noon, Michael McKinney, 48, of Bryn Mawr, was observed leaving the Wegmans store with $137 worth of seafood and meats without paying for them. When approached by security officers, he dropped the merchandise and ran to his car. He attempted to obscure the license plate and then drove over a curb and fled the area. He was stopped in Tredyffrin Township on Route 202 at Interstate 76 and charged with retail theft.
