Exton Man Charged with Tredyffrin Burglary

Stolen items were found at local pawnbrokers, according to police.

Tredyffrin and West Whiteland Police have made an arrest they believe is connected to a string of residential burglary incidents in the TE area.

Tredyffrin Police arrested David Rothhaar, a 36-year-old Exton man who police said involved with at least one area home burglary in the last year, according to a release from the department. Police arrested the man on felony burglary and criminal trespassing charges.

Police said in a release that Rothhaar's work as a landscaper had given him a familiarity with the area.

Following up with local pawnbrokers, police said they were able to track several items, including a diamond pendant and several distinct coins, from a residential burglary that took place on July 15 in Berwyn and tie the items to Rothhaar.

Police served a search warrant on Rothhaar's house and car and discovered heroin, drug paraphernalia and other suspected stolen items, they said in a release. Police believe Rothhaar's motivation for the alleged crimes is drug related.
