Multiple fire companies responded to a house fire just before 7 a.m. Friday.

Firefighters from multiple departments responded to a report of a house fire in Willistown shortly before 7 a.m. Friday. The fire occurred at a single-family home on the 100 block of Line Road, south of the GCVSA athletic fields.

The fire started in a chimney connected to a woodburning stove and spread to other floors, according to Chief Neil Vaughn. The rear sections of the basement and first and second stories of the house sustained damage.

There were no injuries, but the house has been deemed uninhabitable. The two adult residents are receiving help from the Red Cross, including financial assistance for food, shelter, clothing, medications and some other medical needs.
