iPhone-Stealing Waitress Betrayed By Beeping Purse

The phone's owner didn't press charges, but he did tweet about it.

An anecdote from the Twitterverse:

Twitter user johnvpetersen recounted his recent experience at in East Whiteland, in which his iPhone was stolen by a waitress. The waitress initially denied stealing the phone, but was done in by her noisy purse, as the victim later tweeted:

Your manager got suspicous when my phone, in your handbag, started beeping when I was sending messages to it. Helped the cop out too,

Petersen gave a shout out to officer Bill Logan, who responded to the call. confirmed the incident took place and said the victim declined to press charges. According to the series of missives from the triumphant tweeter, though, she was fired:

Note to waitress at Ruby Tuesday in Malvern, PA who just lost her job because she stole my iPhone, let me introduce myself, I'm JVP
