At 11:16 hrs Delaware County Station 41 (Newtown Square) along with TAC 4 were dispatched to the unit block of Stillmeadow Lane in Willistown to extinguish a controlled brush fire.

Workers at the property had lit the pile of brush on fire, however this violated a township ordinance and the police department requested the fire department to extinguish the pile.

Malvern's Tac 4 is a truck featuring "a 250 gallon water tank, a 20 gallon Class A foam tank, and a 1000 gpm pump."

Due to the size of the fire and lack of nearby hydrants, other vehicles and crews arrived on the scene, including Malvern's Engine 4-5, "a 1996 Ferrara tanker-pumper mounted on a Spartan chassis that seats 8 people and sprays at 1,500 gallons per minute." The fire was out in about 25 minutes.
