Mediterranio Fire Caused $400k in Damage
Investigators have determined the Monday fire was an accident.
The fire that early Monday morning at in Lincoln Court Shopping Center has been deemed accidental by investigators.
According to an email from Eric Nowaczyk, Deputy Chief of the East Whiteland Fire Company, the losses could have been far greater:
[The fire] caused an estimated $400,000 worth of damage, however due to the building being a strip mall, there was $15 million estimated saved.

The "saved" estimate reflects the amount of additional damage the fire could have done if it had continued to burn unattended. The fire caused extensive damage to Mediterranio, which will be closed for months, and resulted in minor damage to adjacent businesses and .
