Mother Arrested for DUI for Alleged Role in 4-Car Crash

A woman driving with her child in the car is arrested for DUI after police say she caused a collision in Villanova.

A woman driving with her child in the vehicle caused a four-car crash in the 300 block of Spring Mill Road while under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Police arrested 32-year-old Karin Linde of Delaware after police said she caused a “chain reaction” type collision in the Villanova section of Lower Merion Township on Dec. 5 at 5:54 p.m. 

The collision resulted in one person being taken to the hospital for treatment for arm and leg pain, while the collision also disabled two other vehicles, police said.

While conducting an investigation of the crash, police said they observed alcohol-related impairment from Linde, and they said that this impairment caused the accident.

Linde was released later on bail, and she is awaiting her preliminary hearing.

Linde’s child was not hurt in the accident, police said.
