The old Malvern Police truck has been replaced. The department recently acquired a new 2011 Ford Expedition.
The most noticable difference—the new truck has complete decals. The driver's side of the old truck read only "LICE." The door was replaced, along with its "MALVERN PO" lettering, after a collision with a deer last year.
Police Chief Michael McMahon was hoping to receive a grant in July from the state's Department of Community and Economic Development to help cover the cost of the new vehicle, but the awarding of the grant has been delayed.
