Unexpected Pizza Delivery? Don't Open The Door

A thief may be using pizza ploy to scope houses in area.

If you find a pizza delivery person knocking on your door, and you didn't place an order, don't open up.

A Willistown home was burglarized Thursday, and a neighbor reported an unrequested pizza delivery earlier in the week.

NBC10 News reported on Thursday a separate incident—a pizza delivery-turned home invasion—in Egg Harbor Township, N.J.  Video of that newscast is here. The incidents may not be related, but residents should be careful not to open their doors if they do not know the person knocking. Report any suspicious activity to the police.

Edited 6/3/11 for clarity and to reflect that Willistown home was burglarized, not robbed. No one was home at the time.
