The Regional Emergency Response Team was on hand at Malvern's Public Safety Day.

Members of the regional S.W.A.T. team, known as the Emergency Response Team, were on hand at Malvern's Public Safety Day Friday.

The ERT team is comprised of members of local police departments who undergo special training.

Corporal Tim Hubbard, of the Westtown-East Goshen Police Department, ran through the list of law enforcement tools displayed on the table before him. Among them: a battering ram, riot shield, a 40mm gas gun and a "breacher pack" used to open doors and barricades.
