Home Automation Company Receives $200k Grant

Zonoff Inc. builds systems that remotely turn on lights, change thermostats, open window shades and more.

State Representative Duane Milne announced today that Zonoff, Inc. of Malvern has been awarded a grant in the amount of $200,000 from the Ben Franklin Technology Partners (BFTP) to support its home automation systems.

Zonoff, Inc., a spin-off of BuLogics, a pioneer in wireless communications, has developed the Diplomat Home Control Platform, a suite of hardware and software products that integrate into home automation networks and allow for the addition of new automation products such as window shades, lights, thermostats, home entertainment systems, and more.  Zonoff has also developed software to transform the Connected Home to the Intuitive Home – allowing a Zonoff home automation system to learn and become self-adaptive to the residents’ behaviors.

As a state legislator representing Chester County, I am most gratified that despite all the regrettable cost-cutting measures at the local, state and federal levels of government, important state organizations such as the Ben Franklin Technology Partners still exist and benefit our local community,” states Milne. “Efforts such as these are vital to stimulating economic development and contributing to technological advances and are directly linked to Chester County being named one of the top ten best counties to live in the United States.”
