State Public Utility Commission to Hold Hearings on Ice Storm

The PUC is looking to hear how well electric utility companies communicated with customers in the aftermath of the storm.

Pennsylvania's Public Utility Commission has scheduled a series of hearings to discuss the response to the power outages following February's ice storm.

Hundreds of thousands of people were without power for days following the storm, which caused the largest winter outages in PECO history.

The PUC is looking for feedback during these hearings, and specifically wants to know how well your utility company communicated during the storm, and whether you were provided accurate information on when your power would be restored.

The first hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. March 24 in Room 101 of the Montgomery County Community College Advanced Technology Center, 340 DeKalb Pike in Blue Bell.

The second will be held at 6:30 p.m. March 26 in Keene Hall of the Tredyffrin Township Building, 1100 DuPortail Road in Berwyn.
