Three Applicants for School Board Vacancy

At Tuesday's meeting, the board members hope to fill the seat vacated by Susanne Carr.

The Great Valley School District's Board of Directors will likely have a new member next week.

The board will meet Tuesday, July 26, to appoint someone to finish out the term of Susanne Carr, who moved out of the district. Three potential replacements have applied to continue representing Region 1 through Nov. 30. The applicants include East Whiteland residents Bartholomew Corsaro and Christine Duncan, and Charlestown resident Ellen Behrle, who will be on the fall ballot for the seat.

According to district business manager Charles Linderman, if the current board members can agree on a candidate, that person could be installed Tuesday night.
