What Is The School Board Oath?

New school board directors start by swearing to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

The newly elected directors of Great Valley School District will each take an oath of office at the school board's Monday night.

What, exactly, does the oath entail? Fealty to the US Constitution, for starters. Here's the script:

"I, [name], having been elected to the office of school director for the school district of Great Valley, county of Chester and state of Pennsylvania, do solemly swear that I will support, obey and uphold the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of this Commonwealth, and that I will discharge the duties of my office with fidelity."
