The Willistown Emergency Operations Center would like to thank our residents for their preparation and assistance during Hurricane Sandy.

Our Emergency Operations Center along with our police officers and Department of Public Works employees has been working around the clock during the storm to ensure the safety of our residents.  We continue to work with surrounding municipalities and other agencies to clear trees and wires and provide adequate safety to our residents and the motoring public.

If a road is barricaded please do not go around the barricade.  The barricades are there to protect motorists from various dangers including flooding, downed trees, and downed wires.

Township Manager David Burman and Chief John Narcise have toured the Township to begin the preliminary damage assessment.  Initial observations include relatively minor damage to Township roads, and no visible damage to other infrastructure.  The Department of Public Works will continue the assessment to determine whether there has been any reportable damage to bridges, culverts, stormwater management and sanitary sewer facilities.  This investigation could take up to 24-hours or more.
