$100,000 Coming to Great Valley School Dristrict

The money represents the largest single donation in the group's history.

The Foundation at Great Valley, a non-profit organization that raises funds for the Great Valley School District, will present the district with $100,000 in grant funds at its September 16 meeting.

According to a release from the foundation, the $100,000 will be used to "fund innovative initiatives" for the district and represents the "largest grant contribution presented by the foundation in a single school year."

"Last year, the Foundation donated $250,000, through donor support, to help keep important programs in our schools in the face of budget challenges," president John Vestri said in a release.
