Devon Prep Students in Solar Car Race
Devon Prep is the only PA school in the Dallas-based race
It would be interesting enough if students from Devon Prep were only heading to Dallas for a road race all the way to Los Angeles.
It would be noteworthy enough to learn that Devon Prep’s solar car team is racing it’s area-made solar-powered car in the event.
Add that they are the only school in all of PA involved in the race, and now you have a story.

The Devon Panel has competed in the Solar Car Challenge for the past two years, coming in 4th in 2011 and taking 2nd place last year. Both of those races were held at the Texas Motor Speedway. According to Jacob Riedel, team captain, and founder of the Solar Car Club, their goal this year is to outperform what they did last year.
