Malvern Residents On Deans' Lists

Another update of local students excelling at colleges and universities.

Many colleges and universities send out news bulletins about students who have made dean's list or otherwise excelled academically. Here's a collection of recent ones specific to the Malvern area.

Studying abroad

  • Madison Callaro, of Malvern, PA, is spending the spring semester studying abroad in Paris, France, through a program run by the International Programs office at Marist College. Callaro is a Junior Fashion Merchandising major and graduate of Great Valley High School.

  • George Karalis of Malvern has been placed on the Dean's List of the College of Arts and Sciences for Excellence in Scholarship for the Fall 2011 semester.

Washington College

  • Jamie Frees '12, daughter of David M. Frees III and Robin Frees of Malvern, PA, was recently inducted into the Theta of Maryland Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.

Drew University

  • Sarah H. Crawford of Malvern, PA, has been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2011 semester. In order to qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or above, which is equivalent to a B+ or better.

University of Delaware

  • Joseph Havrilla, of Malvern, graduated from the University of Delaware's College of Business and Economics.

University of Kansas

  • Megan Rene Waggy, of Malvern, Pa., is a senior in Psychology. She made the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Rochester Institute of Technology

  • Jeremy Sims of Malvern, Pa., graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from RIT's College of Science in fall 2011.

La Salle University

  • Jaclyn Donato of Malvern a Junior Marketing student at La Salle University, has been named to the Dean's List for the Fall Semester.

University of Nebraska-Lincoln

  • Sean Patrick O'Brien of Malvern has been named to the Deans' List/Honor Roll at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the fall semester of 2011. O'Brien is a senior architectural studies major in the College of Architecture.
