This walk/run and family fun day was organized by the Philadelphia Area Apraxia Network/Support Group. Walk coordinators Wendy Brooks and Lia Gorman said, “we organized this event to help raise awareness of apraxia, a very challenging and complicated motor speech disorder in children and to raise funds to benefit the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association (CASANA), a 501(c)3 nonprofit public charity.   Valley Forge Educational Services’ CEO, Oz Abbey, added part of VFES’ mission is to raise awareness and understanding nationally and globally about children with special needs. We are so pleased to offer our campus as a place for this CASANA event which honors families that have a child with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) and the professionals that help them.
