Malvern Man Places in Top 1,200 in Philly Marathon

A 58-year-old Malvern resident fared better than most on Sunday.

Thousands of runners from around the country came to Philadelphia Sunday to run it its marathon. Most didn't do it as well as Keith Straw did.

The 58-year-old Malvern resident finished 1,200 overall in the marathon, better than nearly 8,000 other runners.

Straw finished the 26.2 mile race with a final time of 3 hours, 26 minutes and 40 seconds, which clocks him at a 7.48 mile a minute pace.

The next closest Malvern resident to finish the marathon was 35-year-old Michal Zelubowski, who finished the race in 3 hours and 43 minutes.
