Great Valley Relay for Life Will Auction Florida Vacation, Local Art

The silent auction and raffle will feature about 150 items.

Willistown resident Debbie Childers first got involved in Relay for Life when her daughter, Kate, was a student at Great Valley High School.

"She was very involved in sports at the same time and needed backup," she said.

Almost a decade later, Childers and her friends are still helping to organize the annual event, which raises funds for the American Cancer Society. The relay itself is an overnight walk in which sponsored relay teams pace a track for as long as 24 hours. These relays take place across the country.
