Winter Storm Watch in Effect for Malvern

As many as 7 inches of snow have been predicted.

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Chester County, including the Malvern and West Chester areas, according to a release from the National Weather Service.

The watch is scheduled to last from Tuesday morning (Jan 21) until “late Tuesday night.”

The warning from the NWS predicts snow accumulation between 4 and 7 inches on Tuesday.

“Snowfall will begin Tuesday morning and continue into Tuesday evening with the heaviest snowfall expected Tuesday afternoon and evening,” the release states.

Temperatures are expected to be in the low 20s, while wind speeds could get as high as 35 mph, the weather service states.

“The combination of very cold temperatures and some wind could result in wind chills in the minus single digits at times Tuesday night into Wednesday,” the service states.
