Chester County Holding Vigil for Newtown Shooting
West Chester will host a ceremony in observation of the school shootings in 2012.
The Chester County Chapter of Organizing for Action is holding a candlelight vigil “to honor the 20 young children and six brave teachers” shot to death the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, CT last year.
According to a release for the vigil, the even is being held from 5 to 6 p.m., rain or shine, at the West Chester Historic Courthouse on High Street.
The event will feature a statement from State Senator Andy Dinniman. Donations of winter clothing or a new unwrapped toy for a child will be accepted.
