Find out what you're doing this weekend.

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here's a rundown of what's going on.

The Brandywine Folk Festival

  • Where: Anson B. Nixion Park, Kennett Square
  • When: August 23 - 25

What: The second annual Brandywine Folk Festival in Kennett Square is set to feature over 30 folk acts during its three day run. The event will also feature a disc golf tournament, food vendors and craft beer. The event's webpage has a ton of good information for those looking for something rootsy to do this coming weekend.

Butterfly Festival

  • Where: Tyler Arboretum, Media
  • When: Saturday, August 24, 10 a.m.

What: The Butterfly Festival is being billed as a "fond farewell to the monarch butterflies as they are … released for their southern migration to Mexico." The even will feature butterfly experts explaining the lives on the monarchs, as well as a live display from John the Bug Man featuring a linty of rarely-seen bugs. Get more information on the free event here.
