Malvern Police Blotter: Stolen Leaf Blower

The following arrest information was supplied by the Malvern Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Theft… The owner of a business at 147 W. King St. reported that a large, red leaf blower had been stolen from the premises some time between sept. 18 and 23.  The machine was unsecured behind the building and is valued at $800.  Fraud… A Malvern resident reported on Sept. 28 that a total of $2,211 had been fraudulently withdrawn from his checking account in multiple transactions between sept. 23 and 26. The account was with a bank in Las Vegas, where he previously lived. Public drunkenness… At 1:38 a.m. on Oct. 2, police received a report of a man stumbling down East King Street. East Whiteland Police Blotter: AT&T Tower Loses Bars

April 13-19, 2011, edition.

Burglary... East Whiteland Police are investigating the burglary of a home on Woodview Road that occurred Friday, April 15, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Jewelry and coins were reported missing. Copper theft... Copper bus bars were taken from the AT&T tower near Swedesford Road. They bars serve as a ground in the case of an electrical storm, according to police, so their removal would not affect normal tower operation. The value was of the bars is estimated to be $1,000. DUI... Andrew R. Wagner, 51, of Coatesville, was arrested for driving under the influence and related offenses after he was observed driving erratically on Lancaster Avenue. Burglary Arrest... Malvern Police Blotter: Smoking Pot at the Train Station

Public Drunkenness... Malvern Police received a walk-in report of a person trying to walk into traffic on King Street the afternoon of Friday, April 15. Officers arrived at 3:48 p.m. and found Ricky Lee Huffman, 51, of West Chester, sitting on a bench at 15 E. King St., intoxicated and bearing injuries due to a fall. He was arrested, cited for public drunkenness and taken to Paoli Hospital, where he was treated for an abrasion on right cheekbone and a laceration near his right eyebrow. DUI... A 2008 Honda SUV being driven at night without headlights drew the attention of police on Friday, April 15. Police pulled the car over at 10:30 p.m., at the intersection of Old Lincoln Highway and Bridge Street, and smelled alcohol on the driver, …

Malvern Police Blotter: Drug Theft From Group Home

April 4-10, 2011, edition.

Theft of drugs... On April 6, Malvern Police received a report that approximately $200 worth of prescription drugs had been stolen from a group home. Oxycodone, a painkiller, Claritin and loratadine, which are commonly used to treat allergies,  dexmethylphenideate, often used for treatment of hyperactivity, and methadone were reported missing from a storage area at Remed Recovery Care Center at 323 Paoli Pike. No forced entry was reported. The theft could have occurred as early as March 1.
