Local municipalities see population growth

The numbers for East Whiteland, Willistown and Malvern all went up, even as the state total fell.

East Whiteland, what's your secret? It's been nearly a decade since the U.S. Census Bureau released its last batch of population data, and it looks like you haven't aged a day. In fact, the median age in the township dropped from 38.2 in 2000 to 36.8 in the 2005-2009 estimates, according to the American Community Survey, an annual survey conducted by the Census Bureau.
