Willistown's zoning board will consider a request to turn the property into a used car lot.
A used car dealer is looking to open a business at the former location of Rocco's Steaks on Lancaster Avenue, in the Paoli section of Willistown. From the Nov. 13 Willistown Supervisors meeting agenda: The drive-through and takeout-only steak shop has been closed since at least 2011.

A vehicle struck a a pole.
Update 4pm: Paoli Pike has reopened, according to Willistown Police. Original story continues below Paoli Pike is closed in Willistown Township after a vehicle struck a utility pole early Thursday morning. The roadway is closed to through traffic between South Cedar Hollow Road and Grubb Road. According to Malvern Fire Company Chief Neil Vaughn, the crash damaged the utility pole and caused low-hanging wires. No one was injured in the crash.

The zoning could change from office professional to town center, according to public notices posted in the Willistown portion of the development site.
Update 10/22/2012 11:30 p.m.: After a strong showing from residents who live in or near the affected area, the Willistown Board of Supervisors decided not to vote on the zoning change at its Monday night meeting. The residents expressed concerns about an increase in traffic, noise and other negative effects that might come from a Town Center zoning designation, which allows for retail and shopping. Two professors from Yale will speak at Delaware Valley Friends School.
Delaware Valley Friends School, in coordination with the International Dyslexia Association, will host two experts from Yale University for a discussion Thursday night. Sally and Bennett Shaywitz, a husband-and-wife professors who also co-direct of the Yale Center for Dyslexia and Creativity. Thursday night, they will present a program titled, Dyslexia: Translating Science into Policy and Practice – It’s Time!. The discussion will take place at Delaware Valley Friends School Thursday night at 7 p.m. The school is located at 19 E. Central Avenue in Paoli. Registration to attend the event is $25.
