Fatal Crash Victim ID'ed as 23-Year-Old Malvern Woman

The investigation continues into a single-vehicle crash that left one person dead Friday morning.

Update: 11:40am—Police have identified the victim in the fatal crash as Margaret Orr, 23, of Malvern. According to a police statement, Orr was traveling northbound on South Valley Road when her 2001 Ford Escort coupe struck a utility pole along the east side of the roadway. The vehicle continued to travel off the road and hit a tree, where it came to a stop. King Road Corvette Crash Kills Malvern Man

Jorge Garcia, 23, died after veering off of King Road in East Whiteland early Friday morning.

A Malvern Borough resident died in a high-speed one-car crash Friday around 12:45 a.m. at the intersection of King Road and Route 352 in East Whiteland. Jorge Garcia, 23, was driving a 2000 Corvette as it sped through an intersection and hit multiple trees in the yard of a nearby home. King Road does not cross Route 352 in a straight line, with the western side connecting at an angle. Garcia, who lived in East Whiteland before moving to the borough, would have been familiar with the intersection, police said. "He was traveling down the road at a high rate of speed, westbound on King, and went straight across the intersection into that yard," East Whiteland Police Lt. Chris Yeager said. Daily Local: Willistown Woman Killed in Crash

Miriam Perilstein, 67, died after she hit a stone wall in West Goshen Township Sunday night.

A 67-year-old Willistown woman was killed Sunday night around 10:30 p.m. when her car hit a stone wall on East Boot Road in West Goshen Township, according to the Daily Local News: Her vehicle was traveling westbound on East Boot Road, crossed over Route 352 before crashing into the wall, which is connected to what is believed to be a house that dates back to the 1700's, police said.
