Later, as a student at Ursinus College, Lynn wrote for The Grizzly and had an internship writing for Greater Philadelphia House & Home magazine, where she penned stories on media rooms and fireplaces from a messy, cramped dorm room. Following school, she landed at The Spring-Ford Reporter and Valley Item, covering municipalities in the Spring-Ford and Perkiomen Valley districts.

Next, it was a foray back into the magazine world, and Lynn covered the health information and medical records beat for the trade publication ADVANCE for Health Information Professionals. Soon, she moved over to the marketing department, heading up social media initiatives for the healthcare publishing company. Yes, she was paid to blog, go on Facebook and upload videos to YouTube.

Lynn began to love Phoenixville back in 2005, and she moved there shortly after, right smack on Bridge Street. A year later, she moved to the historical district, and loved being close to the center of the revitalized town.

The proud owner of a long cat and a black cat, Lynn likes crafts, reading, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, male musicians with scratchy voices, zombie movies, brightly colored tights and bacon.
At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. This disclosure is not a license for you to inject your beliefs into stories or to dictate coverage according to them. In fact, the intent is the opposite: we hope that the knowledge that your beliefs are on the record will cause you to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. And if you ever see evidence that we failed in this mission, please let us know.

Politics
How would you describe your political beliefs?
Are you registered with a certain party?

I'm a registered Democrat (liberal media and whatnot) but I've never voted straight party. I'm a devout researcher of political candidates, and I try to choose the ones who line up with my mostly moderate beliefs.
Religion
How religious would you consider yourself? (casual, observant, devout, non religious)

I attended every Sunday at a United Church of Christ church at home and taught Bible School for six years, but I haven't attended down in this area. Therefore, I'd say I'm not all that religious as of late.

Local Hot-Button Issues
What do you think are the most important issues facing the community?
Where do you stand on each of these issues?

The growing pains of a town trying to reinvent itself fascinate me. Phoenixville has come a long way, but still faces some obstacles. Covering this area, I've also run into a lot of issues of old vs. new -- established residents having issues with newcomers. I do truly like to sit back and watch rather than forming an opinion when it comes to those types of issues.
